Visit Our Suffolk County Dental Office For Emergency an Tooth Extraction
When a tooth is severely damaged and causing excruciating pain, it may need to get extracted. There are times when the damage is so bad that it is simply impossible to save the natural tooth. If you are suddenly experiencing serious tooth pain and you have concerns about what is going on inside your mouth, you can visit our dental office for examination immediately. Our dental office offers emergency tooth extractions for damaged teeth and wisdom teeth that are causing an undeniable amount of pain for you.
Evaluating Your Teeth
Upon visiting our dental office for an emergency visit, we will let you know what we see when we inspect your teeth. If we find that your teeth are too damaged to save with any other treatment, we will recommend that you allow us to extract the teeth. If you are having problems with your wisdom teeth, we can arrange to have them removed for you, too.
Keeping You Comfortable
Your comfort is our primary concern. We want to handle your dental concerns while making sure that you are not experiencing any pain. Before we begin the extraction process, we take the time to carefully numb the area of the gums where the teeth are being removed. Once the numbing agent kicks in, we will get started with the extraction process, which will not take long for us to complete. Although we are careful with every extraction we complete, we also have a lot of experience and know how to safely remove teeth in a timely manner.
After we have carefully removed the teeth, we will place gauze in your mouth to help soak up any blood that may come out from the gums. It is normal to experience some bleeding, but you should not feel any pain at this point. You may not necessarily need to have stitches, but there are times when some patients need to have stitches applied to their gums. We will let you know if this is something we need to do before we apply the stitches to your gums.
When you are experiencing a horrible toothache because your tooth is damaged or because your wisdom teeth are bothering you, there is a possibility that you will need to have these teeth extracted. If you cannot deal with the pain and do not want to wait around any longer, you can come to our dental office for an evaluation and for the extractions. We will take the best care of you while you are receiving dental services in our office.
